  • The book the film was made a parody of is The Arthurian Legends, which tell the tales and myths of the famous King Arthur.

Spamalot: Characters and Costumes Main Characters: King Arthur, Sir Robin, Sir Lancelot, and The Lady of the Lake. King Arthur is the king of England. He is a funny man, who  is on a quest to form the Knights of the Round Table and find the Holy Grail. Sir Lancelot is a Knight of the Round Table. He is an extremely violent man who fights alongside King Arthur and helps him upon his quest. Sir Robin is a Knight of the Round Table. He is a coward, and he only joined the knights upon their quest for the singing and dancing. The Lady of the Lake possesses mystical powers. She is strong, beautiful, and a diva.
